The politburo owns the science and all dissent is forbidden. Welcome to the new Dark Ages. Its done, dusted, discovered and documented and nothing left for discussion.

Or so the government experts want you to believe. The season of settled science is upon us. All those fine vaulted university halls echoing with healthy debate, those brave back-room boffins beavering at the bench, a breakthrough imminent. Sorry, professor. Its over.

Socrates called the people who tried to do this in Ancient Greece “the Sophists.” People – mainly con-artists – who could talk-the-talk but never walk-the-walk. Liars paid to preach the party line. The gospel according to the fraud.

Settled Science. There. Said it again. What a ridiculous, defensive, idea by definition. Its like the parent telling the inquisitive child “Don’t ask. its settled.”

The concept has a fatal flaw. How did these scientists arrive at the settled point. Did they not go out and research, question, doubt, test, review, discuss then eventually arrive at consensus?

The answer is no, they didn’t. All they found was snake oil to generate money for them. Ineffective, Unproven or downright dangerous. no peers to review and expose it to the cold light of day, they hid their research, turned off the lab-lights and shut down the discussion. The tradition that has driven humanity’s search for better now reduced to propaganda in a white coat. Roll up your sleeve, open wide and swallow. You surrender the right to choose, to expose the lie.

how did science become settled?

Let me “settle” that question.

I blame the fact that everyone now seems to go to university now. Not out of a desire to learn and discover, but to get a degree and wear it like a meaningless Kings New Clothes as an expert bestowed with a self-appointed infallibility. But the façade is fake, that’s why they won’t discuss it.

But real science is about as settled as the stormiest ocean. If like King Canute, these pseudo scientists drag their ill-deserved thrones onto the beach and try to stem the tide of reason, the restless current will simply overwhelm them. It will happen. It must, for one good reason.

If everything’s settled, how can these frauds justify the continued research?

Have to get another job. Like flipping burgers, maybe.
